Another One Bites the Dust

On Friday, another of my coworkers got canned. In this instance, it is unclear whether he got fired for something he did or if the company is still looking to get rid of people. I think the answer may be both. Granted, he did essentially mislead one of our bosses, but it was on such a small matter that firing seemed a little extreme. I was later kidding with another one my coworkers that one of the three of us needed to be fired by the end of the day, and he made the decision easy. Ironically, my job is probably safer because of the firing, but at the same time it solidifies my view that I need to get out of the company before something like that happens to me. It may just be a matter of time before I piss off the wrong person and am sent off. I would much rather go out on my own terms.
