A Bad Month

The month of January was very bad on our company. After laying off three of my coworkers, demoting me, and closing our group in an attempt to become a 'leaner' company, we managed to post a $15,000,000 loss for the month. I later found out it got so bad that there was some question on whether or not the company would be able to afford the payroll. One of our employees (who is the brother-in-law of our boss) was told on Tuesday to start looking for a new job, then on Thursday was told to forget it. Apparently there was a meeting between that time when our partners decided to keep the company going for the time being. But it still seems that we ar one really bad day from coming in and finding out that I no longer have a job.
