Heating Bill

So I got my first heating bill of the winter season and I must say that I am not impressed. Now before I disclose the amout I must mention the preparations that we took to keep our heating bill down. First we purchased a timer thermostat to turn the heat down during the day and night. Next we purchased plastic sheets to seal our old windows. And despite these precautions, our December heating bill amounted to $180. Ouch! What I am hoping is that since heating bills are based on estimates that our meter will give us a heafty discount on our next bill, but then again this may only be a faint hope.
