Payback

Whoever said 'payback is a bitch' must have had several meanings on their mind. I have found getting paid back is much more difficult than it should be. Two instances quickly come to mind. The first is with taxes. This year I am getting a federal return and have to pay state taxes. You'd think that I could just offset the two, but you'd be wrong. I have to mail my payment in right away, but have to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get my return. The second example is my security deposits. For my new apartment I have to tender payment right away, but as for my current place I have to wait to get it back, assuming I will get it back at all. I am just tired of having to pay people first and get paid whenever my lendee feels like paying me back. I know it's not a big deal waiting to get money that I am owed, it just annoys me. For once I would like to be the one that collects when he wants and pays out when he feels like it.
