Who's the Boss?

Last week, my boss took me aside and gave me some very startling news. He told me that I would be managing our group while he was away for a couple of weeks. He choose me because some people think that they are needed elsewhere and others are incapable of handling it. I was a little surprised to hear this news because I now I would be in charge and be assisted by someone who has been working in the industry for about as long as I have been alive. Also, other than our clerical staff I am the least experienced member of our group. It puts me in an interesting situation of have to manage people that I once went on coffee runs for. I never asked for this type of responsibility but for some reason everyone thinks I know what I am doing. And it would be stupid to turn down an opprotunity to get some really good work experience that so many other people would love a chance to have. I guess we will see how it goes from here.
